We have a gorgeous and extremely well made vintage bedroom set. This set includes all pieces below for the listed price, we are willing to sell pieces individually for prices listed next to the item, but would prefer to keep them together so we discounted the set price - we figure if furniture of this age makes it together for this long that it should remain as a set! It is all a medium wood stain with gold/brass pulls and spindle feet covers!
Most pieces in the set (aside from the headboard and mirror) bear the makers mark - John Stuart Inc New York, Grand Rapids. John Stuart Inc. was created by its namesake who also was president and chairman of the board for John Widdicomb furniture company prior to his death. His company was an american company that made danish furniture whose motto was "Exceptional furniture" - this set definitely meets that standard with dovetailed drawers that still slide smoothly, wood that shines with beauty to this date, the most solid legs I've seen on a piece of this era, and an amazing attention to detail. Everything is solid wood and functions just as it did when first purchased! Much of his mid century furniture is sold on 1st Dibs as it's so incredibly well made and solid.

Here is the breakdown by piece with complete description including condition assessment of each piece:
1) Lowboy Dresser/Credenza: Width 72", Depth 20", Height 32.5". Great vintage condition. There is a small (1"x1/4") chip in the veneer right above the lowest left small drawer, this is not noticeable unless you are sitting at this level of the dresser. The top two center drawer pulls have worn with time and are more silver in color, this also isn't terribly noticeable and drawer pulls could certainly be easily replaced but we definitely preferred the originals! A few of the drawers have stains inside that will only be noticed when opened - the previous owner kept makeup in some of the drawers, but they have been completely washed out and will be fine to put clothing or other items in right away! Otherwise the top is in perfect shape, all drawers pull easily. Legs are extremely solid. Makers mark in upper left small drawer. SOLD
2) Highboy/Tallboy dresser: Width 40", Height 50.5", Depth 20". Excellent vintage condition. There is not a mark on this piece, the drawers pull easily and are clean inside. Makers mark in upper left drawer.
3) End or Side tables: Width 23", Height 26", Depth 14". Quality: One is in excellent vintage condition and the other is in great vintage condition. Both pieces have tempered glass for the top and the open shelf that does not have any chips or defects. There were non-slip pads underneath the glass that were aged and cracked, when we cleaned these pieces up I removed them and did not replace these with new pads as I wanted to leave it up to the new owner whether they wish to use the glass tops. The wood underneath is in great condition. Both tables are finished on the back so could be placed with a 360 degree view if desired. The bedside table in excellent condition has no defects, the one in great condition has a small chip in the veneer on the back corner, it is less than 1/8 of an inch in size. It would not be noticed if placed against a wall. The makers mark in the great condition piece is lifting a bit. It was placed on top of the "Johnson Furniture Company" woodburn mark. The excellent condition piece just has the Johnson Furniture Company woodburn. Both are located in the top drawer. SOLD.
4) Mirror: Length 58.5", Height 37". The mirror is designed to be hung on the wall above the lowboy credenza. The frame is in excellent condition but the mirror has crackles and veins throughout so overall I would say it's in good vintage condition. The mirror is still easily usable, it has a nice vintage look to it as is but the mirror could be replaced to give it a brand new appearance. There is no makers mark on this piece, but the numbers stamped on the back match the rest of the items. SOLD.
5) Full-sized headboard: Width 54", Height 36.5", depth 1". This piece is in excellent vintage condition - there are a few small scratches on the back but nothing visible when placed against the wall. It could be used with a queen sized mattress without looking too awkward as it would only leave a few inches on the side, but that would be up to the new owner! There is no makers mark on this piece but the stain and stamped numbers match what is on the other pieces. SOLD.
